Description
Today the debate over firearms rages and many in government are attempting to disarm the American people.  To Keep or Not to Keep: Why Christians Should Not Give Up Their Guns (paperback, 172 pages) aims to equip every Bible believing Christian in America with the scriptural tools and knowledge needed to make wise decisions about the defense of their family.

Relying on an exhaustive study of the Holy Scriptures, renowned pastor, Dr. Chuck Baldwin, and his constitutional-attorney son, Timothy Baldwin, delve deeply into both the Old and New Testament in search of the true teaching of Scripture regarding the right to keep and bear arms.  Many books deal with this subject from a constitutional perspective, but there is no book in modern times that has dealt with this vital subject from a strictly Biblical perspective.  This book does just that on this vitally important subject.

The following questions and many others are answered in this timely and thought-provoking book.
  • Is the right to keep and bear arms a divine right?
  • Should Christians surrender their firearms if the law requires them to do so?
  • Does the New Testament require Christians to always be non-violent?
  • Did the fact that Jesus and the apostles not rise up with arms against tyrannical government mean that Christians today should never do so?
  • Were America's Founding Fathers right or wrong when they rebelled with arms against the British Crown?
At a time when many in government are attempting to pass laws which call for the American people to surrender their firearms, many Christians are rightly searching for a Biblical answer.  This book is designed to help Christians and non-Christians alike come to a clear understanding of what the Bible teaches.

A better understanding of God's call to us patriots

    By christopher

Comments about To Keep Or Not To Keep:

I really enjoyed this book. Although it was difficult to understand at times because of the leagalistic terms, I have a better understanding of God's call towards Christians. As God's children, we are to not only support each other spiritually, but also physically. Growing up, I was raised in a church where the preachers loved to tickle the ears of many people. It was a feel good church. Go to church, hear God's word and go home like nothing ever happened and be drained spiritually by Saturday. Now that I have been to combat, my spirit has ever more been awakened to Christ and his calling towards me. As a Marine and Soldier, I have a right and legal obligation to our fellow men, woman and families to reach out and teach what I know. Another great read is Smedley Butler's War is a Racket! I just finished it and couldn't agree more with what he mentioned.

Comments about To Keep Or Not To Keep:

I have spent several years discovering the twisting of truth built into our most "enlightened" denominations, and this book uncovers yet another hidden truth adding to the mounting pile of doctrines requiring re-examination by all who call themselves children of God. Those who worship Jesus shall worship not in a building, but in spirit and in truth!

        Excellent Historical Review

        By Muscoe

        Pros

        • Comparaes both Old and New Testment passages

        Cons

        • The "left" will not read it or believe it.

        Best Uses

        • For believers who have been deceived.

Comments about To Keep Or Not To Keep:

Excellent historical review comparing the Old and New Testaments on survival and the appropriate and non appropriate methods approved and required by Yahweh. Swords, spears, and shields were the tools used during that era and correspond to our firearms, knives, bullet "proof" vests, and less than lethal equipment used in the modern era. The author proved that Christians should not be a coward when faced with the possibility of death, but to "stand" and fight to save their lives or of those they love and are responsible for.

Comments about To Keep Or Not To Keep:

This overall is a very good work. My issue is that it's not written for the lay-person who does not have a degree in Law. Tim Baldwin was given too much leeway to write and set the tone in this book. It comes across as stiff and somewhat pretentious. My advice to him in the future is write with your audience in mind; it will be more popular and widely accepted.
