I love this thing! The crank function is great, don't need batteries! The light is bright enough for indoor or outdoor use. A great thing to count on when electric goes out.

        Comments about Kaito/Hisonic KA888 - Dynamo/Solar Powered Shortwave Radio & Flashlight:

Purchased this radio for survival emergencies and was primarily interested in the radio with a hand crank. The solar component is an added bonus. We tried everything out the day it arrived and are very satisfied with it's operation. It also has a compass and flashlight that will allow me to save money by not needing to buy these items. It appears the flashlight also works by the hand crank. Thought it was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend, but with all the extras, it is well worth the price. It is not too heavy to carry around which will go nicely in my bag. A great buy.

        Comments about Kaito/Hisonic KA888 - Dynamo/Solar Powered Shortwave Radio & Flashlight:

This product works, but it's so cheaply made and delicate that I can't imagine any Army Member using it. The solar cell doesn't work usually, it has a very short battery life, the SW band doesn't pick up anything, and it came with an accessory plug in antenna but there is nowhere to plug it in. I am slightly confused as to what this things purpose is; however it does work well on AM bands and its got a loud speaker which is great!

Recommend only as a household, maybe garage, radio.

        Comments about Kaito/Hisonic KA888 - Dynamo/Solar Powered Shortwave Radio & Flashlight:

Did research on this radio after I received one that was not working as described. And found this model for $21.00 to 34.99 elsewhere, and people were saying same as I did about the problems ? If you want a refund on this order you have to pay the return shipping ! Ship it to manufacturer and wait for them to contact infowars store ? It's been a pain in my but trying to do this ? Will see how long it takes for refund ? Too complicated with returns on this ?
